Its not long now until I finally get round to finishing the processing of our own wedding photos from May 1st this year, so in anticipation of the main event I’ve posted a few shots from the day before our wedding in Bamburgh, Northumberland, including our awesome Papakata marquee being put in place at our reception venue, and our pre-wedding rehearsal at Bamburgh Castle

My dad took a few inside the rehearsal

Earlier this month I photographed the wedding of Matt & Louisa at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield and their reception at Firth Hall (The last time I was at that venue I was sitting an exam at University!). Louisa’s Father Michael, is actually the Ex-Mayor of Sheffield and Matt is from Australia, so it was a great mix of people for the day. Here’s a few images to share…

This post is to act as a refresher to all the brides and grooms who viewed the albums way back when they had their wedding meeting with us. The album with the pink stripe is called ‘Finao’ and the black album is called ‘Sim’. Finao is the album which you can choose the leathers and suede stipes. Finao comes in square and landscape format.
Prices for 2010 start from £300 for each although the Finao album is subject to fluctations in the dollar rate. The more you spend on the album, the more pages you can get, so feel free to set a budget between £300-£450

I’ve had a few people recently ask about wedding venues in Sheffield, as most seem to be pretty booked up for main dates in 2011. A few of the wedding reception venues I can recommend are
Kenwood Hall Sheffield
Wortley Hall
Whirlow Grange
Ringwood Hall Hotel
Whirlowbrook Hall Farm
Whirlowbrook Hall
Whitley Hall
Dam House
Alfreton Hall
And for Marquees I would strongly recommend what we had at our wedding

Its not everyday that you get to photograph a half English and half Italian wedding party! There was a mini-invasion in Sheffield from Carlo’s side of the family who came over from Italy to see Carlo marry Ailis in Sheffield. Here are a few images from their day…

…almost as much as the groom! These kind of images really sum up why I love doing what I do at weddings. I’ve really grown to love doing cool and inventive portraits of couples, but its important for me to capture these kind of images of happiness at weddings…
