I’m off on hols after todays wedding, so I thought I’d post a sneaky peak of awesome from yesterdays wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall first…

Here’s a sneaky peak into what’s coming up for Abi & Steve’s super cool outdoor wedding at the Band Stand in Weston Park, Sheffield….

On 1st May 2010 Nicola and I got married at Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland. Its peak wedding season, so it may have taken me 3 months to process our photos, but I think they are worth the wait!
Our reception was held and hosted by Jo and David at Budle Hall and we had a stunning Papakata marquee in the grounds. Nicola wore a Jenny Packham dress with Jimmy Choo shoes, and I wore a suit by Reiss. We had a BBQ provided by Delicous Occassions and flowers by Flowers and Foliage.
Now the question I got asked at nearly every client meeting prior to our wedding was “who is going to do your photos?”, well that answer to that is my brilliant cousin Steve Street in Surrey, UK…although I will confess that I couldn’t resist picking up the cam for a few of these shots (not any whilst we were getting married!)
Here is a selection from the day. Finally…

THE END
Earlier this month I photographed the wedding of Matt & Louisa at the Botanical Gardens in Sheffield and their reception at Firth Hall (The last time I was at that venue I was sitting an exam at University!). Louisa’s Father Michael, is actually the Ex-Mayor of Sheffield and Matt is from Australia, so it was a great mix of people for the day. Here’s a few images to share…

…almost as much as the groom! These kind of images really sum up why I love doing what I do at weddings. I’ve really grown to love doing cool and inventive portraits of couples, but its important for me to capture these kind of images of happiness at weddings…
Here’s some images from a rock the dress / trash the dress shoot with Kelly from Boho Events (She plans awesome weddings you know in the UK and abroad).
Kelly got married a year ago over in Ibiza, and what better way to celebrate a year of marriage than to get the dress back on and drag it through a farm full of animal crap! Special thanks to the brilliant Our Cow Molly for letting us shoot on their farm in Sheffield. After the farm shoot I took Kelly to a nice location near S6 Photography towers and we did a shoot in a field with balloons and cake, and you can see that my dog Wilson had his eyes on the cake! If you’re interested in a shoot, then please get in touch…

We were fortunate to get married in a stunning part of the country, so to make the most of our wedding weekend we did a shoot in the sea at Bamburgh the day after our wedding…..the sea was freezing! Nicola got ready all over again and it was time to get her Jenny Packham dress in the Northumberland Sea. I was itching to get back behind the camera….

If any brides around the Yorkshire area are interested in having a similar kind of shoot done, then please contact me via www.s6photography.co.uk. For £500, your shoot will include getting ready shots, a shoot at a location of your choice and all images on disc.
