Here’s some images from a rock the dress / trash the dress shoot with Kelly from Boho Events (She plans awesome weddings you know in the UK and abroad).
Kelly got married a year ago over in Ibiza, and what better way to celebrate a year of marriage than to get the dress back on and drag it through a farm full of animal crap! Special thanks to the brilliant Our Cow Molly for letting us shoot on their farm in Sheffield. After the farm shoot I took Kelly to a nice location near S6 Photography towers and we did a shoot in a field with balloons and cake, and you can see that my dog Wilson had his eyes on the cake! We were fortunate to get married in a stunning part of the country, so to make the most of our wedding weekend we did a shoot in the sea at Bamburgh the day after our wedding…..the sea was freezing! Nicola got ready all over again and it was time to get her Jenny Packham dress in the Northumberland Sea. I was itching to get back behind the camera….

In April I made the short trip over to Manchester to shoot the wedding of Mark & Claire at the Lowry in Manchester. I was particularly excited about this one, as I knew it would be quirky due to the nature of the design of the Lowry. Such an awesome day with awesome weather. Its a pleasure to share these images from their wedding day….

It gives me great pleasure to announce that I will be providing my services for free to shoot a deserving couples wedding for free. On March 6th I kicked off wedding season in style at the superb wedding of Luci & Dewi in Manchester. Their ceremony at Chadderton Town Hall was starting early at 11am, so I was in Manchester before 9am to capture the getting ready shots (one of the best parts of wedding photography for me). The first glass of champagne was poured at 6:30am in the bridal rooms and it was evident from the start that Luci’s bridesmaids were going all out to win ‘bridesmaids of the year’ at the wedding oscars. Quite simply an awesome group of people to work with and special thanks has to go out to them for making the photos so special. Here’s a few of my favourite images from their day…

As you may uncover from our website, we love doing destination weddings! In 2009 we jumped at the chance to fly out to Bratislava in Slovakia and spend a weekend shooting Peter & Eva’s wedding at Bojnice Castle. It was certainly the warmest wedding I’ve ever done, and the images I made on the day were some of my favourites ever. Two weeks after returning we were asked to shoot another wedding in Slovakia, but unfortunately we were already booked for that date (I hate turning weddings down!). This year we’re going to Zante amongst all our weddings around the UK, so I can’t wait for a bit more sun, sea and awesome wedding photography…
