North Cadbury Court Wedding
June 18, 2014
A few weeks ago I got to shoot a wedding at the stunning North Cadbury Court in my native Somerset. The weather was kind of strange, going from rain, to extreme wind, to sunshine, but that didn’t stop us and I had a great time.
For security reasons, I’m only sharing a few pictures, but as a first I’m sharing Dana’s feedback. In the past I’ve been quite shy about sharing the kind words received from my couples after their wedding day, but I wanted to share this as the words kind of sum up the whole reason I do this. I do it simply because I love it.
Dana’s words
“Jon,
Sorry for the delay… I was trying to write you a nice long email! They are are simply stunning. We were up most of Monday night looking at them and laughing and crying in turn. The wedding day itself was such a sensory overload, we couldn’t take in the details; but looking at the pictures, I feel like I am finding all the missing puzzle pieces. And there are certain photos – like the one of me adjusting my mom’s hat, and then her admiring it in the mirror – that make me cry even thinking about them. She has been really ill and almost didn’t make it to the wedding, and those pictures mean the world to me.
When we started wedding planning, finding the right photographer was the most important thing to us – more important than the venue or the food or a dress. And looking at your photos, I know we had our priorities right. As wonderful as they day was, it only lasts a few hours. But we’ll be enjoying your photos all our lifes. Thank you for the effort and artistry that you have put into it, at every step of the process. We feel very lucky to have found you, and to have had you at our wedding.”
Beautifully put… I remember feeling the same way about our wedding pictures, and they still make me laugh and cry now more than 2 years later. Amazing pictures as always Jon. 🙂
I was literally just here this weekend!!! What an AMAZING venue and such lovely pictures as always x
